STLPT Mile Maker Award

Have you ever had a friend do something for you that was unexpected?  Did a co-worker ever go out of their way to help you out in a bind?  Has anyone ever blown your socks off with their drive and dedication for a cause?

At St. Louis Physical Therapy, our employees do this daily.  The staff at each of STLPT’s 4 clinics goes above their call of duty to make sure patients have a great experience during each appointment.  They also are dedicated to creating a great work environment for their fellow employees.  For these reasons, we created St. Louis Physical Therapy’s Mile Maker Award to recognize employees in each clinic who consistently are looking out for the greater good of our patients and their co-workers..

Award Description
For the employee who best demonstrates the St. Louis Physical Therapy culture by going the extra mile to aid their fellow employees and treat our patients like “Kings and Queens”.

How it is rewarded
Each quarter, 1 winner is selected in each of STLPT’s 4 clinics.  In each clinic, every employee anonymously votes for the person who they feel has “gone the extra mile” for both patients and employees.  The person with the most votes in each clinic will then be declared the winner for that clinic.  The four winners are then voted on to determine who is the Marathon Mile Maker Award winner for that quarter. As a reward, the employees will have their named engraved on a plaque and given a nice prize.

Purpose
Each of our employees work very hard to create the best possible experience for our patients.  We realize that patients have a choice when it comes to therapy providers.  So, we would like to reward those employees who make St. Louis Physical Therapy the Premier Therapy Provider in St. Louis, as they are the ones who give patients a reason to use STLPT’s services.

Check back here every quarter find out who were the Mile Makers in your clinic!

1st Quarter 2011 Mile Makers

Chesterfield

>>My vote is for Kyle.  He tries to help anywhere that he is needed and does it with a smile on his face.  Kyle juggles many additional duties outside of teching and has done a fabulous job.  He is a very hard worker and deserves the Mile Maker award -Chesterfield Team Member

>>I vote for Kyle. He practically lives at the clinic. He has taken on more responsibility and has done a great job with his cookie drops and getting the word out about STLPT. He is great with the patients, they all love him and always have nice things to say about him. He is willing to help out with little things around the clinic and asks others if they need help with their work if he has extra time. Go Kyle! -Chesterfield Team Member

>>Kyle deserves the mile maker award.   He is a swell guy, the Jose Oquendo of St.
Louis Physical Therapy.  It seems like he is handling 4-5 jobs right now, and he
does it without too much of a fuss.  Also, he goes that "extra mile" for each
patient and co-worker, doing whatever he can for anybody.  STLPT is lucky to
have Kyle and I have no idea where this company would be without him.  -Chesterfield Team Member

Des Peres

>>I would like to nominate Katrina for mile maker.  The times that I am at the Des
Peres office, she is always in a good mood, she smiles alot and jokes with the
patients.  She is kind and friendly and the patients love her.  She is always
happy to jump in and do whatever Kerstin asks without a gripe. -Des Peres Team Member

Fenton

>>My vote is for Andy D. If you want to know why, just look at appointments
pro and check out his schedule. The man never takes a break-Fenton Team Member

>>Andy D has gone above and beyond to ensure every patient gets seen.  He has come in early and stayed late, even giving up his lunch on some days.  Even though he is always busy, he is always in a great mood and it makes for a great working environment.   -Fenton Team Member

>>I vote for Andy D'Aquila.  He has done an amazing job bringing our clinic to
where it is right now. Under Andy's hard work and leadership we smashed the
record we set two weeks ago by 10 patients!  I know that we all work hard to
make this happen but a very large portion of the credit belongs to Andy. He
always goes above and beyond to give his patients the very best care, and is
always willing to stay late and do whatever it takes to see that everything is
taken care of.  Andy is committed 100% to serving his patients and to improving
the status of our Fenton Clinic. Great job Andy. -Fenton Team Member

Andy D'Aquila
Olivette

>>My vote is for Lisa because she stays on top of calling new patients, cleaning, ordering supplies, etc.  She helps keep the office organized and has stepped up to help out with Kim gone.  She plans ahead and it helps keep everything flowing smoothly.
She also is very good about following through with what is asked of her and I am confident that she did what was asked of her and did not forget or put it off for another day.
She does a great job on the phone with patients as well and keeps very calm which patients appreciate.  -Olivette Team Member
