Michael is the owner and founder of St. Louis Physical Therapy. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy. Following an intensive two year manual therapy residency program, he achieved a Masters Degree in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute in 1997. In 2009, Michael completed work for a Doctor of Manual Therapy degree through the Ola Grimsby Institute. In 2010, Michael completed an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program, also thru the Ola Grimsby Institute. He is now 1 of 6 physical therapists in the state of Missouri that is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Michael has extensive training in treatment of neck and low back pain, as well as advanced specialization in treatment of upper and lower extremity conditions. He also is experienced with making of custom foot orthotics.

Outside of work, Michael is an avid cyclist, golfer and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys cheering on all of the local sports teams and, of course, the Mizzou Tigers basketball and football teams!

Brian is originally from St. Charles, MO and just recently graduated from the Univeristy of Missouri-Columbia with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  Over the past few years he have developed a strong interest in orthopedic physical therapy.  He is looking forward to building upon his current orthopedic background when he starts with the Ola Grimsby Institute residency program this January.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with wife, playing/watching sports, whipping up new recipes, and cheering on the Tigers.

Laura was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and raised in the small town of Kelso a few minutes south. She started her life in St. Louis by attending Maryville University, where she received her Bachelor's in Health Science in 2008 and her Master's in Physical Therapy in 2009. She also played softball at Maryville for four years and was the graduate assistant during her fifth year. She spent the next two years treating patients with chronic pain and working very closely with physicians at a pain management clinic, and she recently completed a 10-month certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Laura's passion for physical therapy was derived from her passion for sports, and she is excited to make use of her newest certification.

Outside of work, Laura continues to play softball and enjoys playing and/or watching many other sports as well. She loves reading, being outside, and hanging out with her family and friends (which includes Max, her frog; Shaq, her iguana; and Wrigley, her mastiff-yes, named after Wrigley field, and no, she is not a cubs fan). Go Cardinals!

Joe grew up in St. Charles.  He graduated from Mizzou in 2010 where he received his Bachelor's in Psychology. He is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer.  Joe would like to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy in the future.

Joe enjoys playing basketball, golf, and hanging out outdoors with friends and family in the off time.

Natalie was born and raised in Perryville, MO. She recently moved to St. Louis and is currently attending Maryville University as a student in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.

In her free time she loves to play and watch sports, camp, go to the lake, and spend time with family and friends.

Kyle was born in St. Louis, Missouri then moved multiple times before
returning home in June of 2010. He recently graduated from The University
of Kansas where he played on the ice hockey team and received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Exercise Science.  This fall he plans on applying to
graduate programs to pursue his goal of becoming a physical therapist.

Outside of work, Kyle is an avid hockey player, golfer, and cyclist. He
also enjoys spending time lounging around the pool or lake with friends
and family.

Julie began her 20 year marketing career with HealthSouth Physical Therapy.  She then accepted a position with Metropolitan Orthopedics as Marketing Director and Office Manager, where she worked closely with the Workers’ Compensation community.

In her time away from work, Julie enjoys spending time with friends and family, her two cats, Miles and Cassidy and hopes her boyfriend has the patience to continue her golf lessons this spring.

Lila joined the STLPT team in 2003 as the Front Desk Receptionist. In 2004 she was promoted to STLPT Office Manager. She currently handles billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable for the Chesterfield and Olivette offices. In addition, she manages the daily office activity including human resources. Lila received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from St. Louis University.

In her time away from work she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.

Allison joined STLPT in March of 2007 as Front Desk Receptionist at our Chesterfield office. Allison enjoys spending time with her family and watching hockey. She is currently enrolled in a local college to further her education.

Becca was born in St. Louis. She currently attends Meramec Community College and is waiting to extend her career in the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

In her spare time she enjoys playing volleyball, working out and hanging with
friends.

Shelly has been in the health and wellness field for over 14 years. Before practicing massage therapy, Shelly earned two degrees of applied science, one in Dietetics, and one as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Shelly worked at an outpatient sports and rehabilitation center. While treating patients in physical therapy, she worked with a diverse patient population, and various diagnoses, and became interested in massage therapy.

Shelly attended the Healing Arts Center for massage therapy. She enhanced her techniques of swedish massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy, as well achieving different certifications in pre and postnatal massage, hot stone, acupuncture massage, and lymph therapy. Shelly is passionate about educating her clients and utilizes her background to help them achieve optimal health and well being.

Kerstin graduated as a physical therapist from St. Louis University and has 32 years of outpatient experience. Kerstin also has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. In 1993, Kerstin sold a 3 clinic St Louis private practice and then managed multiple outpatient therapy, surgery and diagnostic
centers. She has also served as an outpatient compliance officer and worked to build an e-Business healthcare information site. Prior to returning to private
practice, Kerstin was a consultant for a large Rehab Services Company and a
National Clinical Director for Federally Funded Payors. She was responsible
for developing clinical education, billing and documentation guidelines. She
specializes in Outpatient Orthopedic Physical therapy and is going through
the Ola Grimsby Manual Certification and Residency Program.

Steve grew up in St. Charles county and has lived and worked in the St. Louis area his entire career.  He received his bachelor degree as an athletic trainer from Truman University in Kirksville, Missouri and then completed his physical therapy training at the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona.  Steve joined the STLPT team in the Des Peres office in April of 2011. 

He enjoys working with area high school, college, and minor league athletes outside the clinic.  Steve likes any activity that takes him outside.  He spends most of his time with his two boys and his Boxer, Wrangler.

Janet was born in Saint Louis Missouri.  She went to the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) for two years in pursue of a degree in Elementary Education.  She switched majors to Nursing and returned home in the fall of 2010 to start taking classes.  She is attending the Goldfarb School of Nursing for in the spring of 2012 to pursue a degree in Nursing and one day become a Nurse Practitioner in Labor and Delivery. 

Janet joined the STLPT team in the spring of 2011 as a Tech and FDR over at the Des Peres Clinic. Outside of work and school, she likes to stay active.  Running long distance races is her main physical activity at this time, although she enjoys playing soccer and tennis in her free time.  Janet loves to hang out with her friends, go shopping, lay out at the pool, and take trips to the beach, lake, and country!

Katrina was born and raised here in the St. Louis, MO area.  In August 2010, she graduated from The University of Missouri- St.Louis with a B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial/Organizational Psych.  She is currently enrolled part-time in a post Bachelor's program to receive a certificate in Management and Organizational Behavior in the Fall of 2011.  Soon after, she plans to attend Graduate school to receive a Masters in I/O Psychology and a MBA.  

When she is not studying to enrich her academic career, she likes to shop, try new and exotic foods, travel (alone and with others), and spend time with family, friends, and sorority sisters. She also enjoys reading.

Andy was born and raised in St. Louis County and went on to receive his Masters in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2004.  The first 4 years of his Physical Therapy career were spent at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in St. Charles County treating children and adults with a wide range of orthopedic and neurological disorders.  For the year and a half following, Andy furthered his manual therapy skills in an orthopedic clinic working side by side with physicians to treat patients suffering primarily from chronic pain.  Since graduating in 2004, Andy has also been employed by a pediatric hospital in St. Louis, assisting in the operation of sports camps and fitness classes for children diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.        
 
Outside of the clinic, Andy enjoys playing roller hockey and softball, and running with his dog Lucky.  He also enjoys playing tennis and traveling with his wife.

Andrea received her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville. She has experience with geriatrics, orthopedics, post-operative rehabilitation, and treatment of the spine. She has had additional training in manual therapy of the spine and myofascial release techniques. In early 2009, Andrea completed work for a Doctor of Manual Therapy Degree from the Ola Grimsby Institute.

In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing with her Bernese mountain dog named Cooper, being outdoors, and riding horses.

Christine is a St. Louis native who was born and raised in St. Louis County. Christine attended Maryville University where she received her Bachelor's of Science degree in 2008, before completing her Masters in Physical Therapy shortly there after.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, going out with family and friends, and spoiling Dino, her puppy.

Tracy was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  She graduated from the University of Missouri in December of 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.  She plans on applying for physical therapy school in the future. 

Outside of work, Tracy enjoys spending time with her friends and family.  She also enjoys playing and watching sports, shopping and going to the lake.

Julie originally joined STLPT in 2006, and was the Front Desk Receptionist in
Olivette until May 2008. Julie has returned to STLPT and is now the Front Desk
Supervisor for all four locations. She is also a fulltime student and attends
the University of Missouri-St. Louis to pursue a degree in Special Education at
the elementary level.

Outside of work and school, Julie enjoys spending time with her 2 year old son
Chase, who keeps her on her toes! She also enjoys being outdoors, laying out at
the pool, and spending time with friends.

Daniel was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Union
University in Jackson, Tennessee in 2005 with a degree in Church Music. He
worked as a Music Minister in Port Charlotte, Florida where he met his bride to
be before returning to St. Louis. Daniel plans to apply to Washington
University Physical Therapy School next Fall.

Outside of work, he enjoys a variety of outdoor sporting activities such as
soccer, roller hockey, and baseball, but spends a good portion of his free time
cycling with his wife and his racing teammates.

Jeni received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Maryville University in 2004.  She completed a 2 year Manual Therapy Residency Program in 2007 from the Manual Therapy Institute, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. 

In her time away from work she enjoys listening to live music, being outdoors, playing with her Boxer, Sophie, and spending time with friends and family. 

Stephanie was born and raised in St. Louis.  She attended Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated in December 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science.  She is also planning on going back to Rockhurst to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

When she isn’t working, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends.  She loves outdoor activities, especially hiking and camping, and also having game nights with her family.

Jeff is a St. Louis native. He graduated with his Doctorate in Physical
Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine's PT program in 2005. He has spent several years in an outpatient orthopaedic setting with an emphasis on
Manual Therapy and Sports Medicine. He is currently working on his continuing
education to pursue a certification in Manual Therapy. He is also working on
becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

In his free time Jeff is a competitive runner. He was a 4 year collegiate level
runner and a National Qualifier in Cross Country. He enjoys spending time with
his wife and son, working out, hiking, and barbequeing with
friends.

Karen was born and raised in St. Louis. She received her Bachelor’s in Science in 2008 and her Masters in Physical Therapy from Maryville University in 2009. She was a member of the Maryville Women’s Soccer Team for four years and went on to be Graduate Assistant her fifth year. She hopes to focus her continuing education on manual therapy techniques and sports rehabilitation.

Karen enjoys playing soccer, spending time with friends, and painting.

Andrew was born and raised in Quincy, Illinois where he also earned a BA in Physical Education - Exercise Emphasis from Quincy University.  In 2008 he graduated from St. Ambrose University completing the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.  Since graduation, Andrew has worked exclusively in the orthopedic setting and was recently certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. 

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys competing in or watching any type of sporting event and spending time with friends and family.

Veronica was born and raised in Highland, Illinois.  She graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Biomedical Science.  She is in the process of applying to various graduate programs in order to pursue her goal of becoming a physical therapist.

She enjoys spending time with friends, watching movies, camping, and going to the lake. 

Lisa was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She recently graduated from Truman State University where she played on the volleyball team and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. This fall she is applying to graduate programs to work towards becoming a physical therapist.

Outside of work, she plays volleyball on a competitive women’s team and also helps out with a high school volleyball team. She enjoys being outdoors, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.

Amanda is originally from St. Louis. She is receiving a double bachelor's this year in biology and communications. In the future, her goal is to be a doctor of Pediatric Oncology or a PA. Amanda joined the STLPT team May 2011 working the front desk and is working toward becoming a physical therapy technician.

Amanda is a volunteer at Missouri children's burn camp assisting burn injured survivors. In her spare time, she likes to play golf and basketball and loves to garden, hike, and travel.
